INTEX was founded in Basel in the 1990s for the purpose of manufacturing and developing pharmaceutical, immunological and medical diagnostic products. At the beginning we worked for the company Ho!mann-la Roche. Subsequently, the production ofHuman Menopausal Gonadotropin for the pharmaceutical company Serono was a major and successful challenge for us. With the Serono HMG production, we entered the pharmaceutical production sector.

The good economic background gave us the opportunity for a complete entry into the development of point of care (rapid diagnostics). Some key researchers from Roche Diagnostics joined our INTEX team. All diagnostic products (except CRP with down-flow technology) are produced with lateral flow technology.
